To support a vision of community enhancement dedicated to the achievement of increased prosperity of local business and economic development, while nurturing our educational opportunities to promote value, character and success to the Mt. Vernon community.

Membership Benefits
Did you know that, as a member of the Mt. Vernon Chamber of Commerce, you can;

• Receive the first three months of membership free.
• Receive a monthly newsletter informing you of what the chamber is doing.
• Have a business meeting at the Chamber office at no charge. Non-members must pay $30.
• Be listed on the Chamber's web page at no cost.
• Attend, along with your employees, various Chamber seminars free-of-charge.
• Local businesses host an "After Hours" at their place of business.This is held monthly on the second Thursday of each month.
• Attend quarterly meetings with a program on a topic that will interest members.
• Visit the Chamber and visitor's center seven days a week from April through October, which is frequented by 30,000 tourists each year.
• Have your business' name and phone number given to those who call first. Only if they ask for additional business are non-member names given out. The Chamber averages about 21,000 calls each year.
• If you wish, information about your business will be placed inside relocation packets and other information sent out to those who are interested.
• Web Site/Links - www.mtvernonchamber.com, is the Chamber's online connection to a virtual world of business and community information. The Chamber website is a one-stop guide that will link to Chamber members' website from the Business Directory/Membership Roster.
• May display your business flyers in the Chamber office free of charge.
• Advertise on the Electronic message Center. Chamber members will be listed from 7pm to 7am daily.
• Double your advertising dollars on the Electronic Message Center for the first 30 days after membership. Minimum $250.00 Maximum $1,000.00.

The Chamber of Commerce Office has information available on local businesses, industry, government, local events, etc., as well as information regarding surrounding towns and states, including Branson, Springfield, Joplin.
